Welcome to my MESPA Professional Development Workshop Invite !!! Topic: Utilizing technology tools such as Quia and Jing in Support of Universal Design for Learning and ISTE standards.

Hi! My name is Jim Painchaud and have been teaching
Computers, Science, and Technology
For the past eight years.

Teaching has become more demanding over the past few years, especially in terms of meeting the needs and learning styles of all of our students.

Technology has evolved dramatically over the past 30 years.

I am HAPPY to have this opportunity to share with you how I have changed my teaching style and techniques using two tools:

QUIA and JING

in support of the UDL concepts and ISTE standards.

Such as:

The provision of multiple, flexible methods of presentation

The provision of multiple, flexible methods of expression and apprenticeship

And the provision of multiple, flexible options for engagement

And ISTE standards from the following areas:

Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences

Assessment and Evaluation

Teaching, Learning, and the Curriculum

Hopefully by the end of the workshop you will be able to utilize the tools Quia and Jing to enhance your student's educational experience in and outside of your classroom.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will accept my invitation and attend my workshop on

Sunday January 16th, 2011
